The kiln is especially known for reinterpreting historic Ko-Imari and sometsuke blue-and-white decoration rather than simply reproducing antique patterns, combining Hasami’s practical tableware heritage with more elaborate brushwork, layered ornament and classical motifs. Today, Rinkurou remains one of Ishimaru Ceramics’ signature lines, with pieces that balance historical reference, decorative richness and forms intended for contemporary everyday use.
