Everyday rituals

At home & on the move

A little fragrance.
A place of your own.

Small enough to bring into everyday life. Choose a spot where you can enjoy the aroma close by, and let the natural branch become part of the setting.

01 / At your desk

A pause between tasks.

Rest the branch on a protected tray beside your workspace for a personal fragrance ritual, without a plug or a flame.

02 / In the closet

A considered detail.

Hang it with space around the branch, so the oiled wood cannot touch clothing. Keep it away from delicate fabrics.

03 / By the entrance

A small welcome home.

Place it on a protected console or hang it in an entryway, away from direct sunlight and within reach of your daily routine.

04 / In the car

Take the ritual with you.

Secure it clear of your view, controls and airbags. Ventilate the cabin, avoid direct sun and remove it from hot parked vehicles. Keep the oil bottle at home.

For fragrance close by. Keep oiled wood off fabrics and delicate finishes, and place it out of children’s reach.

A closer look

The Kuromoji Branch Diffuser offers a direct introduction to one of Japan’s aromatic native trees. A natural Kuromoji branch is paired with a sample of essential oil distilled from its branches and leaves, bringing the material and its fragrance together.

Small enough for a personal space, it needs no electricity, water or flame. The dark glass sample bottle includes a dropper for applying a little oil to the branch’s recessed area. Display it on a protected surface or thread a suitable cord through the opening to hang it.

A few things to know

How do I use it?

Place a small amount of oil into the branch’s recessed area. Let the oil absorb before positioning the branch on a protected surface or hanging it with a suitable cord. Keep the oiled wood away from clothing, painted surfaces and other delicate finishes.

Can I use it in a closet or car?

In a closet, hang it with space around the branch so the oiled wood cannot touch clothes. In a car, secure it away from the driver’s view, controls and airbags, and keep the cabin ventilated. Avoid direct sunlight and heat; remove it when parked in hot conditions and never leave the oil bottle in the vehicle.

How long will the fragrance last?

Scent strength and duration depend on the amount of oil, airflow and temperature. This is a small diffuser for fragrance close by, with a 0.5 ml oil sample; it does not have a fixed room-coverage or fragrance-duration claim. Add a small amount again when the aroma fades.

Can I use the branch again?

Yes. Reapply a small amount of suitable essential oil as needed. Natural wood may retain its previous scent, so use the same oil if you want a consistent fragrance. Each branch varies in shape, grain and colour and will differ from the photograph.
